Venture Lighting is working closely with The Carbon Trust to offer advice to SME's (Small and Medium Enterprises) on the considerable savings that can be achieved on their energy bills by carrying out a simple lighting upgrade.
With the significant savings that can be made with minimal or, in some cases, no capital outlay, Venture's expertise in lighting technology can help guide the customer through the entire process whilst offering advice on how to take advantage of the government loans and incentives currently available to evaluate their potential savings.
The Carbon Trust will be lending up to £100m, interest free, to help organisations finance and invest in energy saving projects. With the anticipated energy savings offset against the loan repayments, application is straightforward with no arrangement fees. A conditional offer will then be received within 24 hours of the application being processed and loans are repaid over a period of up to 4 years.
Qualifying for a large Carbon Trust loan, a typical lighting upgrade will offer a payback of 2-3 years. Since July 2009, loans have been calculated on the basis of £6,666 per 10 tonnes of CO2 emissions saved, an increase from the previous £5,000/10 tonnes.
